MUSIC OF THE CARIBBEAN AND MUCH, MUCH MORE!
Think of Roché as your “Cabana Band”; serving you the best of Caribbean/Latin/Pop in a funky, fun-filled frozen Piña Colada umbrella drink (non-alcoholic of course!) Their rhythmic, soulful, horn-laced mix brings you depth of range of talent as deep as the ocean, the warmth and intimacy of sitting around a beach campfire acoustic subtleties, and punchy horns with spicy Cuban salsa, Roché- style, breathing new life into songs you know so well.
At the core of Roché are singer-songwriter Nancy Roché and song-writer/arranger/trombonist, Tom Frazee. Having moved back to the Boston from the Pacific Northwest in 2018, they are a fresh new sound on the New England scene, but not without roots here. Nancy was in the top New England band, “Zonkaraz”, and Tom was a former professor at Berklee College of Music, a Senior Developer of the Songwriting Department & Curriculum, as well as the founder of the Berklee “Tower of Power” ensemble.
Their list of varied achievements is long, with highlights that include the accolades of “Top Performer, Northwest” - Scene magazine, “Best City Celebration West of the Rockies”- SkyNews (80,000 attendees), "Best Club / Dance Band" - Boise Weekly, "Best Nightclub (Blue Lagoon / Roché)" - Idaho Statesman, "Best Female Vocalist"- Boise Weekly, and numerous jingle-writing and BMI songwriting awards.
Tom and Nancy, along with world music percussionist Marcus Santos from Bahia, Brazil have assembled another group that's at home in clubs and dance venues as it is in country clubs and private parties.
